Sports and school activities (ASC) are an important part of school life at Shanghai French School. Better expressing oneself, interacting with others, working as a team, leading a project, developing one’s creativity, or persevering are learnings that allow students to develop fully outside of class.
We offer more than fifty activities, supervised by experienced coaches from Kindegarten GS to Terminale, in English, French and/or Chinese. These activities are divided into two categories: leisure and competitions.
Shanghai French School students therefore have the opportunity to enroll in one or more activities according to their desire and motivation.
The Leisure program, accessible from kindergarten, offers more than 50 activities allowing initiation to cultural, artistic and sporting practices. The program is established according to the principles of the school project and respects the educational values of the LFS.
Registrations are made by semester, thus promoting the discovery of several activities during the year.
The activities are given in French, English or Chinese by professionals specializing in the subject taught. Whether you want to play golf, sing, dance, play football, play theater, learn the language of computer coding or learn magic tricks, ASC Loisirs is there to offer you a wide range of activities.
As the name suggests, this section is reserved for students with a taste for competition and wishing to compete with other international clubs / schools in Shanghai.
The students represent our school through competitions scheduled on weekdays and weekends. Surpassing oneself, team spirit and motivation are used to be efficient!
To meet this objective, the ASC competitions service provides competent coaches with the necessary experience to improve the abilities and skills of students in sports, their knowledge of the activity and also their attitude.
11 sports are on the program of our competition section and are divided into two groups:
Individual sports: athletics, badminton, dance, climbing, gymnastics, swimming, table tennis.
Team sports: basketball, football, rugby, volleyball.
