April 20 is the Chinese Language International Day, a day celebrated around the world thanks to the United Nations. On our Yangpu campus, our Chinese teams, supported by our Libraries, held several discovery sessions for our students.
Offering our students of Primary and Secondary different publications in Chinese, of all genres and for all levels, is the opportunity to cultivate their curiosity, to make them proud of their progress, and to encourage their Chinese learning, at their own pace.
With our corridors and our Libraries decorated with Chinese characters, one thing is certain, Chinese was really in the spotlight this week!
In 2010, the United Nations launched the “Language Days of the United Nations”, with the objective to ease cultural diversity and celebrate the 6 official languages of the United Nations: English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, and Russian. Thus, every April 20 is dedicated to the Chinese language.
As the most spoken language around the world with 850 million users, there is no doubt that our students benefit from the best support possible to shine in Chinese!
