Francophonie is celebrated every year in March, a month during which the French language and Francophone cultures are highlighted, through reading, poetry, and more!
This year, our Primary School team in Yangpu organised the Literacy Month, an original concept with weekly creative themes.
Drop everything and read: for a whole week, every day at 10:30 a.m., a sound would occur in the school, giving the signal to students to stop what they were doing and read for 10 minutes.
The Brigades of Poetic Interventions (BIPs) took the relay the following week by offering poetry recitals in classrooms and offices which had hung on their door an image of Bip Bip.
The traditional dictation of the Francophonie was held in the canteen on Friday, March 24, followed by the Peer Reading for the last week of the month. Art and poetry took over the entire Piazza!
Finally, and to close this month, we received the visit of Séverine Boué, the Attaché of University Cooperation for the screening of the animated film “Hello World”, presented to kindergarten students in Qingpu and Yangpu.
