March 8 may be falling in the middle of the school holiday this year, it does not stop the students from The Female Lead Society (FLS) to come up with a plan to mark the day!
This year’s project focuses on raising awareness amongst students through the screening of the movie “Iron Jawed Angels”. Telling the story of Alice Paul and Lucy Burns, two radical women who played a role in getting women the right to vote in America, the movie will be shown to students from Grade 9 to Grade 12 on March 14 and 17. Cushions and popcorn will be provided!
With a gorgeous poster designed by Alicia Levillard (Grade 11), and a presentation of the movie led by Manon Bourdenet (Grade 10), this project was born and advertised to other students thanks to the teamwork of all involved in the FLS.
We also want to take the time to congratulate Audrey Liu (Grade 11) for participating in the poster contest launched by the AEFE to celebrate March 8 and equity between men and women. We wish her good luck!
