January is a particular month for our Eurocampuses because it celebrates the Franco-German friendship and the reconciliation of our two countries through the Elysée Treaty, signed on January 22, 1963. This year, we celebrated its 60th anniversary in the presence of the General Consuls of Germany and France in Shanghai, M. Pit Heltmann and M. Joan Valadou.
Exchanges with students, common songs, and speeches rhythmed the morning of January 20 and enabled us to approach the current challenges in Europe, the issues of the Franco-German friendship, and the importance of the Eurocampuses influence in Shanghai.
We even managed to record some of it in video!
Thanks to the LFS German teachers and our colleagues of the DSS, numerous exchanges of students occurred this month and will continue next month. Very engaged in the notions of sharing and meeting one another, teachers organised breakfasts, board games, quiz, treasure hunt, bowling, dodgeball, and other fun opportunities for students to learn about each other and make new friends.
