Moving into a new lunar calendar year is a sign of rebirth and optimism. In Primary and Secondary, our Chinese teachers prepared students to the festivities through crafty activities, New Year Fair, and shows!
The corridors, doors, and windows of the Qingpu and Yangpu campuses were fully decorated with red colour and rabbits.
Secondary students in the SIC stream in Qingpu worked on a beautiful and fun exhibition: riddles, photo booth, tree of wishes and drawings took over the corridor of the 2nd floor!
Yesterday and today, Chinese teachers from Qingpu Primary School organised a big fair around Chinese New Year with several game booths, calligraphy, photos, and treats, for all students from kindergarten to Grade 5!
On both our campuses, crafty workshops were organised for all levels: calligraphy, painting, paper cutting, we saw rabbits of all shapes, colours, and more!
In Yangpu, Chinese teachers worked on preparing songs to welcome the Year of the Rabbit! Students from Primary and Secondary gathered in the Piazza to mark this joyful moment. As today is the last day of school before the break, everyone had to wear red, golden, or a traditional Chinese outfit. Needless to say, the challenge was fully taken on!
Finally, we want to congratulate Audrey Liu, a student in Grade 11, whose illustration of Chinese New Year was selected by the French General Consulate in Shanghai for its official Greeting Card! We thank her for the collaboration on the LFS’ Greeting Card!
We wish you and your families a great holiday, and a wonderful Year of the Water Rabbit!
