Back to the Annual Meetings from September 17

The General and Extraordinary Annual Meetings took place on Saturday, September 17 at the Swissotel Grand Shanghai. 180 families, carrying 225 proxies, leading to a total of 405 families were represented out of 882 (46%), and legitimately reached the quorum.

The French Consul General, M. Joan Valadou, opened the meeting and insisted on the importance of the school within the French community in Shanghai, which is why he had wished to meet the School Leadership and visit the two campuses during the first week of his arrival in the city.

He reaffirmed the Consulate’s support, particularly regarding the development projects which were presented to him by the School Leadership.

The members of the Board of Directors and the LFS Leadership review the general situation of the school and mentioned several specific issues regarding the back-to-school, the impact of the sanitary situation, the perspectives of the school development, and the budget 2022.

It was also the occasion for the parents to ask their questions to the Board and to the School Leadership. At the end of these exchanges, all the resolutions presented by the Board were approved.

Finally, the Annual Meeting elected 7 parents amongst 9 who had applied for joining the Board of Directors, which counts 8 members, all volunteer parents at the service of the LFS.

The 7 elected members are:

  • Benjamin Bilteryst
  • Sébastien Corre
  • Marie De Boni
  • David Feuillet
  • Nicolas Ollivier
  • Stéphane Pichon
  • Marco Vinciguerra

They join Philippe Snel, President of the Board of Directors.
