This week, Joan Valadou, the new French Consul General in Shanghai, accompanied by the Attaché of University Cooperation, Séverine Boué, met our teams on our Yangpu campus on Tuesday and on our Qingpu campus today.
This visit was the occasion to discuss the back-to-school, mention the questions linked with the sanitary situation, but also to make the new Consul General discover our infrastructures and our rich educational and extracurricular offer.
Both welcomed by the President of the Board of Directors and several of its members, the Principal, the Executive Director, as well as members of the school leadership, the various discussion topics enabled to remind the past challenges, the ones yet to come, and the development perspectives of the school.
A first encounter had taken place at the Consular Residence earlier this month.
With the Annual Extraordinary and Ordinary Meetings happening tomorrow, and with the will to open more to the diverse communities of Shanghai, many strategic issues were addressed.
In a context remaining difficult, it is an engaged and united team that welcomed Joan Valadou this week, with the wish to continue contributing to the French influence in Shanghai.
