From November 29 to December 4 was held the Worldwide French Schools Week (#SLFM) within the AEFE network, with the objective to highlight the influence of the French education system abroad. At Shanghai French School, we saw the big picture!
For this 5th edition, the theme was: “Art, science and sustainable development: Preparing ourselves to tomorrow’s world with French education”. To enhance several pedagogical activities organised by our teams, Shanghai French School chose 2 categories: sports and art!
Run & Zap Challenge
The Run & Zap Challenge could include running, walking, cycling, stairs climbing, swimming, or working out and enabled to gather students, parents, teachers, and administration staff for one same cause: proving that human energy can help saving energy.
Together, 7287 kms have been traveled by Shanghai French School, a record which allows the AEFE Asia-Pacific network to accomplish 58 483 kms, which is more than going round the Earth!
Cartooning for Climate
On the arty side of things, a press illustration contest initiated by the international network Cartooning for Peace was organised by the libraries’ teams and one of our art teachers, on the topic: “Imagine the city in 2030 facing climate change”. Students played along with humor and the winners of each campus will soon be selected!
Well done to all the participants of this 5th edition!
