On Friday, July 2, Shanghai French School celebrated its 2021 Graduates, the promotion of ShangBoulés (French pun referring to someone being shaken), a fitting name which perfectly sums up the intense last two years our students went through.
The ceremony opened with the LFS Orchestra, followed by the speeches of Benoit Guidée, Consul General of France in Shanghai, Philippe Snel, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Anne-Sophie Gouix, LFS Principal, and Faustine Avril, Vice-Chairman of the Council for School Life. Singing, photos and videos slide shows gave tempo to the ceremony, bouncing from emotions to laughter for students and their families. Here are some of the best moments captured.
Students were then rewarded with their medal by Fabien du Fayet de la Tour, LFS Deputy Head and the Class Teachers, Thomas Ginoux, Nadia Jemli, and Nicolas Voeltzel, of our three Grade 12 classes.
“ShangBoulés one day, ShangBoulés forever”, we heard throughout the ceremony. Some of the students have known each other since K1, others jumped on the boat in the middle of their education, but all of them have built strong links with each other, an experience which will remain with them for the next years to come.
Thanks to our teams’ commitment throughout the students’ education and to celebrate their success, our graduates became the sponsors of a dolphin named after their promotion title, a beautiful gesture for the protection of marine life and to end this shaken year on a good note.
Congratulations once more for their excellent results at the Baccalaureate and good luck to all, here and there around the world, for this new chapter!
