Throughout the week, the Shanghai French School celebrated the “Earth Day” around actions related to environmental protection carried out by students and teaching teams on both campuses. This moment is an opportunity to highlight the work of our students around the protection of the environment. A week full of action!
On the Yangpu campus, all the students of CM2 and their teachers have been working for several months on the realization of eco-neighborhood models with the instruction: «we are in 2030, you must imagine your ideal eco-neighborhood! ». This transversal project makes it possible to understand many pedagogical aspects: ecology, geography, urban planning, writing, drawing, analysis and oral presentation.
For more than a month, Ambroise, Illian, Tea, Margaux, Meriem and all the others worked on more creative models with recycled materials. They imagined the cities of tomorrow by combining green spaces, solar panels, wastewater recycling… A project that has even changed the way they consume at home.
In Qingpu the party was also at the rendezvous! The team of Primary English teachers prepared an exceptional show around this topic. The GS students at the CM1 are produced on the stage of the theatre with many performances: play, dance, poetry, musical, projection of films and children’s work.
The CM1 and CM2 classes participated in a BCD “Draw Biodiversity” contest. Very good achievements were posted in the BCD.
If each of us take small, simple actions to reduce our impact on Earth, we will improve our environment while respecting the planet. Bravo to all of you!
