The eco-representatives of Qingpu Primary School launched their very first action this month regarding recycling and went to meet students from all levels to test their knowledge and remind them of what we can do in order to further respect our planet.
Since their election last September, these few students from Grades 4 and 5 have been meeting every Monday at lunch time to brainstorm on possible projects and carry out a communication strategy to reach as many people as possible.
For this first action, students imagined a poster campaign showing the impact of single-use products on nature. The main objective was to raise awareness of the need to pay more attention to recycling at the canteen and in the schoolyard.
Being part of a school respecting the environment is an advantage not only for personal and common well-being but is also an opportunity for developing a sense of responsibility and coexistence, to which everyone can play a key role.
Well done to these young students for showing us such a great example!
