From February 22 to 27, the Sports and Cultural Activities (ASC) team of Shanghai French School organised a series of sports competitions, highlighting Franco-German friendship for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Eurocampus.
Volleyball, swimming, and badminton were on the agenda to start Chinese New Year on a healthy note for our students from both Qingpu and Yangpu campuses!
Water Day – The Swimming Experience
On Tuesday, February 23, 20 students took a dip in the Qingpu swimming pool: obstacle race, water games, and a water polo tournament constituted a program rich with great spirits and countless smiles! Special mention to the students who traveled to represent Yangpu campus.
Volleyball Tournament
For students who preferred staying out of the water, the volleyball tournament held on Friday, February 25, gave French and German students the opportunity to compete. Twelve teams confronted each other with meaningful exchanges, smashes, and great defensive actions. Teachers from Shanghai French School and Deutsche Schule Shanghai also participated to share this friendly moment.
BAD’Cup – Double Edition
On Saturday, February 26, more than 55 students played badminton in doubles, making this event a real success! The tournament allowed students from different categories to play against each other.
Our young athletes remind us that physical activity contributes to mental health and general well-being. Shanghai French School offers more than 50 sports and cultural activities for students and staff, thanks to the work of the ASC team.
Perhaps it is time to get our sneakers out of the closet, find our swimsuit and jump in (literally or not)!
